Industrial Hygiene, Safety & Environmental Services
FEI began in 1998 providing a full range of industrial hygiene, environmental health, and safety services. FEI provides oversight services, full air monitoring, technical sampling, staff augmentation, management support, and development of specialized health and safety programs such as Chronic Beryllium Disease Prevention Program at the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Rocky Flats Environmental Technology Site (RFETS).
FEI has played key roles in decommissioning and dismantlement (D&D) of some of the most hazardous projects in the DOE complex. This includes Building 771 located at Rocky Flats Industrial Technology Site (RFETS) labeled by "60 Minutes" as the most hazardous facility in the United States. Additionally, FEI assisted in the D&D of the first major plutonium facility in the U.S., Building 779 structure at RFETS.
